September 8th, 2006 New York City The “SAFEST” place in the world in 2007 has already been selected, and everyone is invited! Conceived and hosted by Action Martial Arts Magazine in conjunction with The Creative Impressions Group; the event includes a Two day Trade Show as well as what is commonly termed “The Academy Awards of Martial Arts." This combined event is listed as both the largest single Banquet Gala in Atlantic City and the world’s largest assembly of Celebrities, Champions, Suppliers and Movers and Shakers in Martial Arts. In addition there will be a world rated martial arts competition entitled “The War at the Shore," which will be held on Sunday, Jan 7th in close proximity.
This year’s event has widened to feature renowned personalities from all over the globe. All trade show attendees will be treated to Free “Hands On” workshops from every conceivable martial arts style; as well as stunning and spectacular Main Stage Demonstrations of Weapons, Breaking and Empty Handed Self Defense.
In addition, Spectators will learn of the newest advances in Training, Equipment and Entertainment opportunities related to the Action Genre. This wide and diverse insider’s information will also include Top Action attractions from New Line Cinema, and spectators will watch Actual filming at the event for both Don Wilson’s Feature Film “Sci Fighter II”, as well as “The Next Martial Arts Superstar”, a new reality TV offering that will be mixing it up “LIVE” as our trade show venues join in!
Martial Arts Media from around the world are invited, and most will be on hand to both report and interact with spectators and superstars alike. Publishers include America’s Black Belt Magazine, Martial Arts World, American Samurai and Martial Arts Success, as well as Tap Out (formally Body Guard) magazine. Association leaders like the National Assoc. of Professional Martial Arts and the Martial Arts Teachers Association, & the British National Martial Arts Association, are also on hand to inform and educate.
The Hall of Fame Gala is already on its way to its annual sell out crowd. Each year over 1400 of the world’s top martial artists spend the evening in Black Tie to celebrate share with all in attendance. The evening includes great food, great memories from martial arts “living legends”; & the opportunity to meet greet and just maybe, dance with your favorite from stage, screen or TV.
A small sampling of our anticipated featured guests include (but are not limited to) Joe Piscopo, Cary Tagawa (Mortal Combat), Karen Sheperd, Cynthia Rothrock, Chuck Zito (Oz), Don (the Dragon) Wilson, Bill (Superfoot) Wallace, Dan Severn (Universal Fighting Championship), Phil Morris (Mission Impossible), Bob Wall (Enter the Dragon), and very many more.
